One Hundred and Four

My Grandma just turned 104 years old and nothing gets past her be it current events or the doings of her 9 grandchildren or her 26 greatgrands. She remembers the flapper era when she and her friends wore their galoshes unbuckled so they'd flap around, skipping rope in the alleyways of New York, traveling across the Atlantic as a young bride with her English husband, journeying to the deep south to help my mother when I was born. She is treasure trove indeed.

WOW! What a lovely illustration, and a beautiful story to go with it. I especially love the texture on her dress and ribbon.

Such an honor to be blessed by so many years, and lovely art to commemorate the occasion!
Please wish your grandma a belated Happy Birthday from a distant blogger- I remember when you were celebrating with her last year! :o)
