Gorgeous! It reminds me of a children's book idea I've had for many many year, about drawing with chalk on the sidewalk. If I ever finish it, I'll let you know, and see if you'd like to illustrate it.

What a sweet story, so charmingly illustrated! How fun to remember the sharpened popsicle sticks, (we only used them as weapons! ;o)) and the nice neighbors who encouraged your creative efforts! :o)
Wonderful illustrations and story, Kay! We sharpened them, too, but our creativity seemed to stop there :o) I long to see you with a published book. I think you have a remarkable talent my friend!
